  • Recording and sharing personal stories and historical accounts

  • Voice interviews and audio recording functionality

  • Photograph and document upload and preservation

  • Public display of all submitted historical content

  • Search and discovery of historical narratives

  • Web-based and mobile application access

  • Educational resources and historical context

  • Archive preservation for future generations

    2.2. All features are subject to availability and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at our sole discretion.

    2.3. Service availability may vary and is not guaranteed.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1. You agree to use our services for lawful purposes only.

3.2. You are responsible for providing accurate, truthful historical information.

3.3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

3.4. When contributing content, you must:

  • Own or have the right to share all historical materials you submit

  • Only share authentic stories from people who lived most of their lives in the 20th century

  • Understand that all content will be publicly displayed with no privacy settings

  • Respect the dignity of individuals depicted in stories and photographs

  • Provide accurate historical information to the best of your knowledge

  • Not submit content containing hate speech, discrimination, or harmful material

  • Not submit false or fabricated stories

  • Not engage in scraping, spamming, or attempts to circumvent security

    3.5. You bear full responsibility for ensuring you have the legal right to share all content you submit, including photographs, documents, stories, and voice recordings.

4. Public Content and Historical Materials

4.1. All content you submit will be immediately and permanently publicly displayed. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant Humans of XX a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, host, display, process, preserve, and make publicly available such content.

4.2. By submitting content, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All stories, photographs, voice recordings, and human profiles will be public

  • You have the legal right to share all materials you upload

  • You will not submit content involving hate speech or harmful material

  • You understand content may remain public even if you later close your account

  • The platform is designed for authentic 20th century stories only

    4.3. We reserve the right to remove content that:

  • Contains hate speech, discrimination, or harmful material

  • Appears to be false or fabricated

  • Violates intellectual property rights

  • Does not relate to authentic 20th century personal history

    4.4. Historical content will be preserved permanently as part of our public cultural archive. Content cannot be made private once submitted.

5. Community Guidelines

5.2. Only authentic stories from people who lived most of their lives in the 20th century are permitted.

5.3. No hate speech, discrimination, or harmful content will be tolerated.

5.5. Content that promotes hate, contains false information, or violates human dignity will be immediately removed.

5.6. Users who repeatedly violate these guidelines will be permanently banned.
